As many as 207 boxes of high quality Goa liquor worth Rs 15 lakh was seized at the Kanakumbi checkpost on Friday. Two persons have been arrested in this connection. According to Joint Commissioner Manjunath and Deputy Commissioner Arunkumar, the Goa liquor was being transported from Goa to Maharashtra in a vehicle.
The liquor worth Rs 15 lakh was seized and the truck was detained by excise officials. Two persons from Sholapur-Maharashtra have been arrested and investigations are underway.
